Coming This Spring!
Naša is a community art project, a homecoming, a compilation of art in different mediums offering queer perspectives on desire.
“Naša” means “ours” in Croatian. Growing up, my family would often talk about found family in this way. As immigrants, we left much family and ties behind, leading us to expand our definition of closeness and kin. My Grandma/Baka would say“_on je naš_” or “_ona je naša_” (they’re ours) as a way to say we claim and welcome this person as one of our own—regardless of any obvious ties of blood. Our hope here is to create a zine of work and a community of creation in this spirit. –Gabs, Co-creator of Naša Zine
